A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life
Welcome, and thank you for visiting KS Counselling. My name is Kirsty Stevens and I am a counsellor providing both short- and long-term therapy to adult individuals in person in Andover and online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
This means that whilst I am trained and have experience in different therapeutic theories and interventions, what I am most concerned and interested in is how you are experiencing your life and the situations you find yourself in.
One of my areas of professional experience comes through working with postnatal parents as a post-natal peer supporter, including supporting parents through a range of post-natal concerns and I have a strong interest in maternal mental health. As a mother myself, I have an empathetic understanding to the range of emotional difficulties we can experience from the change of our role from an individual to a parent and how this can impact our life.
I have particular expertise in working with ASD and ADHD clients, due to my recent engagement with education. I offer a low demand, low pressure environment and I am able to adapt my way of working to ensure that you feel safe and supported enough to explore your personal experiences.

I offer an open minded, judgement free, inclusive approach to counselling and aim to give you a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, dreams and ideas.
I believe that everyone is capable of change (although it may not always feel like it) and by working together, at a pace you are comfortable with, we can explore your past and present in order to move forward with the future you want.
I understand how difficult and hectic life can be and how due to job and family commitments it can be hard to keep to the same appointment time each week. I offer a flexible approach (subject to availability) to session times or can offer fortnightly sessions.
I am experienced in working with adults and young people (16+) surrounding a range of issues including
Depression
Anxiety
Gender identity
Sexuality
Body image issues
Relationship break downs
Low self-esteem
Self-confidence
I offer compassionate and non-judgmental relationship counselling tailored to meet the diverse needs of individuals, couples and throuples. My approach is rooted in the belief that every relationship is unique, and I strive to create a safe space for clients to explore their feelings, navigate challenges, and cultivate stronger connections.
Relationships, by their very nature, are complex and dynamic. They can bring immense joy and fulfilment, but they can also be a source of stress, conflict, and confusion. Challenges such as life transitions, conflict, infidelity, and a breakdown in communication can all contribute to this.
In addition to addressing traditional relationship concerns, I have a special interest in working with clients who navigate relationships within the realms of kink, polyamory, and ethical non-monogamy (ENM). These relationships, while deeply fulfilling for many, can come with their own set of challenges and require informed understanding and support.
In my practice, I emphasise the importance of empathy, open communication, and self-awareness. Whether you are in a traditional monogamous relationship, exploring kink, or part of a polyamorous or ENM relationship, my goal is to help you build a relationship that aligns with your values and desires.
I am currently offering face to face appointments at my accessible, private room in the Walworth Enterprise Centre on the Walworth Industrial Estate in Andover.
I see clients from Andover as well as the surrounding areas of Whitchurch, Basingstoke, Salisbury, Newbury and Winchester.
I can also reach clients across the UK through online counselling via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
My current working hours are 9 am - 2 pm Monday -Friday. Sessions are 50 minutes long and cost £45 for individual counselling and £60 for relationship counselling.
I offer a flexible approach to our sessions together as I'm aware that for some, keeping to the same appointment time each week can be challenging. I can offer weekly and fortnightly sessions or a flexible appointment time (subject to availability).
There is no limit to the number of sessions, but I will regularly check in with you to ensure that counselling is still beneficial to you.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07810827352 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
