My path into counselling came from my time as a post-natal peer supporter. Supporting new mothers through a life changing experience with the range of often unexpected emotions that came with it. I am a single mother and have a strong interest in maternal mental health as I am aware that the difficulties and unexpected emotions don’t stop as your child grows up.
I have spent the last two years working in a 6th form college in the student counselling services and the last year in a secondary school supporting young people through a range of problems and whilst I am not currently able to offer private counselling to young people, I am aware of the pressures and emotions that young people can experience and how this can affect the whole family. My professional and personal experience in supporting young people with school-based anxiety, ASD and ADHD had led to me wanting to create a safe, supportive space for parents and caregivers who often give so much of themselves in support of their children.
I’m qualified in integrative, therapeutic counselling which means I am able to draw on a range of therapeutic techniques and ideas to support you in your personal journey. I aim to offer a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for you to explore your life and personal experiences to move towards a happier, stronger future.
